Privacy Policy — Spark Break

Spark Break is built so that the sensitive part — which apps you chose and how long you spent in them — never leaves your iPhone. This page explains that in plain language, then lists everything else we hold.

1. Who we are

Spark Break is operated by legal entity name, registered address. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Write to privacy@sparkbreak.app with any question about it.

2. What stays on your device

Apple seals Screen Time data inside the app on your phone. It is not something we choose not to upload — we are not able to. The following never reaches us:

The apps you protect: Stored as opaque Apple tokens. Even we cannot read which apps they are.
Per-app usage time: Rendered by Apple's own view inside the app. Never transmitted.
Anything you type in an action: Intentions, alternatives, notes. Stored locally, shown back to you only.
Step and motion readings: Used to confirm an action was done, then discarded. No fitness history is kept.

Spark Break holds no account for you at all. There is no sign-up, no login and no password — nothing to create, and nothing for anyone to break into.

3. What reaches our servers, and why

Because there is no account, nothing we receive is tied to a name, an email address or a person. Every item below has one purpose; nothing is collected "just in case".

Product analytics Which screens you reached, when the paywall appeared, and your plan settings — goal, target, mode, and which week you are in. Purpose: learning whether the app actually helps. Never what you typed, never which apps you protect, never a per-app figure.

Crash and performance reports What the app was doing when it stopped working. Purpose: fixing it.

Push token The address Apple gives us for your device. Purpose: delivering the notifications you turned on. It identifies a phone, not a person.

Subscription status Whether a trial or plan is active, and when it renews. Purpose: unlocking the app. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card.

4. Who processes data for us

This website itself runs no analytics, sets no cookies and makes no requests to any other domain.

5. How long we keep it

Analytics and crash reports are kept for up to 14 months by our provider, and there is no account through which we could look you up in them. Everything that describes your actual use of the app — your plan, your history, the apps you protect — lives on your phone and goes with it when you delete the app. Any request you send us is answered within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, correct it, export it, delete it, or object to a particular use. Deleting your account is available inside the app and described on the deletion page. We answer requests within 30 days, and you can complain to your local data protection authority if we get it wrong.

7. Children

Spark Break is not made for children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets that age. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child's data reached us, write to us and we will remove it.

8. Where data is stored

Our servers run on Google infrastructure and data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our processors operate, under the safeguards those providers offer, including standard contractual clauses.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change something material, we update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Older versions are available on request.
